Since my blog somehow became corrupted, I’ve uploaded a PDF of my notes from Pimsleur Japanese II and III. The only caveat is that I’ve misplaced my notes from lesson 3 of the third unit, so if anyone can post a comment with their own transcription, I’d be much obliged. Hopefully this helps!

I’m so glad – I just finished the last lesson in the Pimsleur Japanese program = 45 hours! It took a couple of years with lots of time off for medical school, but it’s an accomplishment! I’ve attached the transcripts from lessons 27-30 of Japanese III after the jump, and will be making my long-promised PDFs available soon!

So I’ve been trying to do khatzumoto’s AJATT “method” for a bit now, in the form of learning the kanji. I’m just to about 750 from Heisig’s book these days, but it’s hard… I don’t know how people do 100 a day! In an attempt to turn my environment Japanese, I’ve started listening to the this video of “TkyoSam” interviewing khatz… it almost makes me want to buy his new QRG video :)
And I’m still finishing Pimsleur’s Japanese III, pretty much because I’m so close and I just want to have a complete collection :D. Following are the transcripts for lessons 24-26 of Pimsleur’s Japanese III, 2nd edition.

In this lesson, I was curious that they use ????? in the sentence “I’ll bring my daughter with me.” In the Genki I text, ????? is used “to bring a person along.” According to Denshi Jisho though, the form used in this conversation is when you are bringing someone of lower status with you; that qualifier is not present in the entry for ????? – just FYI ;)
